We all know that seasons change. If you are thinking of buying a Softub for your home, you must first know how they handle the elements. We will take a closer look at how our Softubs are made to withstand Winter time and how you should protect your Softub during this time of the year.
Softub Settings
Your Softub is automatically set to keep your temperature ready for use. When the temperature in the Softub drops 2 degrees below your holding temperature, it automatically turns itself on to get back up to temperature and then will go back to sleep. This is very energy efficient, and ensures that you have rest and relaxation without fidgeting with settings. The max temperature setting for all hot tubs is 104F or 40C.
Maintaining the Heat
When you are done using your softub, cover with the bifold locking lid. If you are going to use the Softub multiple times and do not wish to use your bifold lid, you can additionally use a thermal blanket to help keep the temperature up (especially in very cold weather).

I’m in a severe”Hail Zone” in my area. How does hail affect it?
Hi Jake! You would want to protect the Softub from large or heavy hail storms to ensure it doesn’t get damaged. The main concern we would have is keeping the Hydromate protected from the elements, but you could always build a small shelter to keep it out of the hail.
