The Osaki Ziva massage chair combines roller massage, air compression, adjustable lumbar warmth and reclining support for everyday relaxation at home. Its 53-inch SL-track extends massage coverage along the back and beneath the seat toward the glutes, while automatic body scanning helps position the rollers to suit the person using the chair.
With 12 automatic programs, five manual massage techniques, foot rollers and a touchscreen controller, the Ziva offers both convenient preset sessions and more personalized adjustments. These features make it practical for a relaxing break during the day or unwinding in the evening.
2D Roller Massage with a Brushless Motor
The Ziva uses a 2D massage mechanism, with rollers that move up and down and side to side. These movements create different massage sensations across the back, depending on the selected technique.
When comparing massage chairs, “2D” describes how the rollers move. A 3D mechanism adds controlled inward and outward movement to adjust roller depth. The Ziva instead combines its two-dimensional roller movement with different techniques, positioning options and compatible speed and width settings. Its brushless motor is designed for quiet, efficient operation, helping create a comfortable setting for listening to music or relaxing during a session.
53-Inch SL-Track for Back and Glute Coverage
The SL-track massage system combines a contoured path along the back with an extended section beneath the seat. This allows the rollers to travel from the head and neck area down toward the glutes. This extended coverage is useful when comparing the Ziva with chairs that provide roller massage only along the back. The track determines where the rollers can travel; the selected program determines how they work along that route.
Automatic Body Scanning for More Personalized Positioning
Before massage begins, the Ziva’s automatic body scan detects shoulder height to help align the massage mechanism with the user’s upper body. Shoulder positioning can also be adjusted after scanning to refine the fit. This feature is particularly useful when household members with different body proportions share the chair. Accurate positioning helps place the massage around the intended neck, shoulder and back areas.
24-Cell Air Compression Massage
The Ziva includes 24 air cells positioned around the shoulders, arms, calves and feet. These airbags inflate and release to create a compression massage that complements the moving rollers. Air massage provides a different sensation from roller massage: the airbags apply broader squeezing pressure, while the rollers create more localized movement. Combining the two brings several types of massage into one session. The controls offer five air-pressure levels, allowing users to adjust compression to their comfort.
12 Automatic Massage Programs
Automatic programs provide preset massage sequences, making it easier to begin a session without adjusting every function individually.
The Osaki Ziva includes:
- Quick Demo

Five Manual Massage Techniques
Manual operation allows users to choose a preferred massage technique:
- Tapping
- Kneading and tapping
- Shiatsu
- Knocking
- Kneading
Whole, partial and point massage options provide additional control over coverage. Depending on the technique, users can also adjust roller speed and width. This makes it possible to move from a broad back massage to a more focused session around a preferred area.
Additional Features
Adjustable Lumbar Heating
Built-in heating provides warmth around the lower back, adding another element of comfort to the massage experience. Lumbar heat has a separate on/off control, allowing users to decide whether to include warmth in their session. The heating is concentrated in the lumbar area rather than throughout the chair.
Zero Gravity Reclining
The Ziva’s zero gravity reclining position lowers the backrest and raises the legs, supporting the body in a laid-back position during massage. This changes how the body rests against the chair and offers an alternative to a more upright session. Users can adjust the reclining position through the controls to find a comfortable setting.
Quiet Foot Rollers and an Extendable Footrest
Dedicated foot rollers provide massage beneath the feet, complementing the air compression around the lower legs and feet. Foot roller operation can be switched on or off independently. The spring-loaded footrest extends up to 7 inches when pressure is applied with the feet. This helps accommodate different leg lengths and body proportions. Because fit depends on more than overall height, seat comfort and shoulder alignment should also be considered.
Space-Saving Recline
The Ziva’s space-saving design allows it to transition into a full recline with approximately 4 inches of clearance behind the chair. This helps with placement in a living room, bedroom or dedicated relaxation space. When planning the layout, allow for the chair’s full reclined length and leave room around the footrest and sides for comfortable access.
Placement and delivery:
The chair measures 30″ wide × 61″ long × 44.5″ high upright and 30″ wide × 71.6″ long × 34.2″ high reclined. It requires approximately 4″ of rear wall clearance, plus sufficient surrounding space for access and footrest movement. Measure door openings, hallways and turns along the delivery route. The chair’s 30-inch overall width alone does not establish the doorway clearance needed for delivery.
